Slide Baiting is a popular method of fishing for West Coast Anglers attempting to get live or larger sized baits out farther than by ordinary means of casting. The angler should optimally launch out a spider weight tied to their mainline as far as desired. Following this attach the rig to the optional float and a Non-Return Slider and 'zipline' it down to the other end of the mainline. To aid in the travel speed the angler may lightly pump or lift the rod to further help pass through the air and ocean.
